EPA Will Dole Out $200k To Baltimore-based Youth Program

What’s happening? 

The Environmental Protection Agency is awarding $200,000 to Baltimore’s YH2O mentoring program, which prepares youth for full-time jobs in water management. 

That’s cool. But why? 

The financial support is part of the EPA’s $50 million commitment to helping low-income and communities of color impacted by pollution, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Anything else I should know? 

This is the Biden administration’s first substantial investment in environmental justice.
