Baltimore Sets Up Vaccination Clinic In Community Despite Skeptics

What’s happening?

As Baltimore City health officials work to improve the city’s 59.9% vaccination rate, they have placed pop-up COVID vaccination centers around the Northeast Market in East Baltimore which has major foot traffic but one of the lowest percentages of vaccinated people in the city. 

How’s that working out? 

Health officials told The Baltimore Brew that they’re confronting a lot of “skepticism, suspicion and mistaken beliefs that the vaccine is dangerous, or part of a government plot.”

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy has launched a campaign to curb the spread of harmful misinformation about the virus.
