What’s happening?
Baltimore Magazine is leaving its 7,200-square-foot office space in Harbor East. With the staff’s successful transition to working remotely during the pandemic, they will now work virtually “for the foreseeable future,” according to a company memo published by The Baltimore Business Journal.
Is this going to change the magazine’s output?
In reality, journalists and salespeople are usually out of the office interviewing sources and meeting with advertisers, Baltimore Magazine president Michael Teitelbaum, said in the memo.
“Rest assured, we’ll continue to put out the same quality publication you love and deserve. We remain, as ever, committed to inspiring Baltimore [to] discover more, do more, and be more,” he said.
Anything else I should know?
Baltimore Magazine joins a plethora of local and national media outlets that are debating whether to bring staffers back to their newsrooms full-time or embrace hybrid or fully remote options.
