What’s happening?
On a recent visit with his children to the Baltimore Zoo, local photographer Justin Tsucalas captured photos that are now part of a stunning photo essay featuring the zoo’s animals and infrastructure.
Sounds fun! Can you describe the photos?
Tsucalas’s work captures the beauty of nature and vibrant colors throughout the zoo, marked by a range of animals and happily engaged children.
Is there anything else I should know?
Tsucalas owns a photo studio called Plaid Photo. He’s known for capturing artists in their studios and “people and scenes from his native city from chefs to dog walkers to crabbers on the Chesapeake,” according to BmoreArt. His clients include National Geographic Traveler, Food Network, Frank’s Redhot, Surface Magazine, and Baltimore Magazine, among others.
