A nonprofit affiliated with LifeBridge Health is turning a former gelato factory into a $12 million community center called “The Factory” at the corner of West Baltimore and Calhoun streets.

City Councilman John Bullock, who represents the neighborhood, called the investment “a sign of bravery and faith in the community,” according to The Baltimore Business Journal.
